In the weeks/months ahead, simply send me a MP3 file of you (or another band member or members) saying…
Hi, this is “INSERT YOUR NAME” of “INSERT YOUR BAND NAME,”
and you are listening to Prog-Scure with DJ Zap Niles,
only on ProgRock.com, Your Ticket To The Best Progressive Rock.
…or a variation of such, and I’ll be happy to periodically include it on random episodes of my show, especially the episodes on which I’m playing one of your songs!
SPECIFICATIONS: The MP3 file should be at least 192kbps, and somewhere between 15 – 25 seconds in length, if possible. And if you like, feel free to send me multiple versions. Heck, be as creative as you want, as long as you include the name of my show (“Prog-Scure”) and the station ID (“ProgRock.com”) in each version, along with “Your Name/Band Name,” of course.
Additionally, no high-end quality is required—simply make certain the text is clear and distinct. If you decide to include background music beneath the text—one of your very songs, perhaps—make certain it doesn’t overpower the words and (very important) it fades in at the start and fades out at the end.
Moreover, there is no deadline. This is something you can do anytime in the future and I will welcome all additions to my library of promo files.
Finally, you can email the MP3 file(s) to me at zapniles @ gmail.com (note: spaces added to avoid search engine trolls) or send me the link where I can grab the file(s) online.
